This week marks 18 years of Wedgwood Drama Studio, and honestly, if you ask me, we’ve already won.
For 18 summers, I’ve gotten to spend my days outdoors telling stories, making movies, being creative, and laughing with people I love and admire. I’ve been lucky enough to spend the last 14 summers alongside Julius, and CJ, pictured on the right, is heading into his fourth summer with us. The rest of our incredible team (@shaunyce, @hijesicaa , @anamymaria123, Megan and Sophia) will be joining us soon, and I can’t wait to spend another summer creating together.
This year, we were also honored to win Gold in Seattle’s Child Magazine for Performing Arts and Break Camps. It’s a wonderful recognition, but what means the most to me has never been an award.
It’s the families who come back year after year. The kids who arrive nervous and leave confident. The former campers who return as teen helpers. The friendships, inside jokes 🐦⬛, traditions, and stories we’ve created together over nearly two decades.
To everyone who has trusted us with their children, volunteered, cheered us on, recommended us to a friend, or spent even one summer with us, thank you. Wedgwood Drama Studio exists because of this community, and I am grateful for it every single day.
And if you’d like to help us celebrate 18 years, we’d be honored to have your vote: https://www.votethepnw.com/WedgwoodDrama❤️
